Business Associate

Summary of the Job:  The Business Associate is responsible for performing administrative duties for the Commercial Lines department.  The candidate will obtain knowledge of core insurance coverages and tasks necessary to ensure support for the department. The position reports to the Commercial Lines Service Team Supervisor.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Process change requests for all lines of coverage
  • Process Invoicing
  • Reviewing policies and detailing policies in system
  • Review and process policy endorsements and audits
  • Order Loss Runs – Request loss runs from insurance companies
  • Complete follow up letters/emails on pending items
  • Assist in providing additional services such as Consultative Services
  • Assist in preparation of spreadsheets, letters, and/or presentations  
  • Communication with customers, providing information such as, Certificates of Insurance, evidences of property, Auto ID Cards
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Good organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills (including listening, speaking and writing)
  • Able to work effectively in a team atmosphere
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to adjust and learn insurance databases
