Consultative Associate

Summary of the Job: The Consultative Associate will create interest in Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative capabilities to internal and external clients by effectively communicating the value. This position will also be responsible for motivating internal and external clients to use our Consultative products through formal and informal learning opportunities. Also, the Consultative Associate will proactively integrate Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative capabilities into Agency workflow and marketing strategies.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Empowered to lead Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative product rollout within Agency and to new and existing clients.
  • Inspires clients, prospects and agency staff to use Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative products by effectively presenting Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative concepts and capabilities.
  • Maintains “expert” knowledge level with Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative products by participating in formal education sessions sponsored by Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative and informal self-directed learning activities (i.e. self-exploration, peer presentations, etc.); and communicates new/enhanced functionality appropriately.
  • Drives Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative product utilization through educating new employees, sales and service staff, about how Henderson Brothers Commercial Lines Consultative products connect to client’s business needs and differentiate agency from the competition.
  • Has a basic understanding of the EBG Consultative Process
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related discipline and/or insurance.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Process improvement experience helpful
  • Property & Casualty License – Have or successfully obtain within first year of employment
  • Demonstrated skills and ability within the following:
    • Communication – written and verbal, internal and external
    • Technology skills, such as Microsoft Office
    • Professional Presentations
    • Pro-activity
    • External client service
    • Coaching
