Insurance Data Processor

Summary of the Job:  The Insurance Data Processor is an entry-level position, responsible for performing administrative duties for the Commercial Lines department.  No experience is necessary and training will be provided as the candidate will obtain knowledge of core insurance coverages and tasks necessary to ensure support for the department. The position reports to the Commercial Lines Service Team Supervisor.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Review policies & resolve any discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents for resolution
  • Review and process policy endorsements and audits
  • Process basic invoicing & change requests for all lines of coverage
  • Input policy and client information into appropriate database(s).
  • Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
  • Assist in preparation of spreadsheets, letters, and/or presentations  
  • Assist in providing additional services such as Consultative Services
  • Complete follow up letters/emails on pending items
  • Communication with customers, providing information such as, Certificates of Insurance, evidences of property, Auto ID Cards
  • Attend internal trainings & learning opportunities as appropriate.
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • Good organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills (including listening, speaking and writing)
  • Strongly detail-orientated.
  • Able to work effectively in a team atmosphere
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to adjust and learn insurance databases
  • Shows initiative and is consistently dependable for timely and accurate assignment completion.
